Singmaster notation
The Singmaster notation let's identify the rotation movements of the Cube faces
in relation to a choosen position.
The clockwise rotations are identified by the following letters:
- R: rigth face (red in the foto);
- L: left face (orange);
- F: front face (green);
- B: bottom face (blue);
- U: up face (white);
- D: bottom face (yellow).
The anti-clockwise rotations are expressed with the same letters followed by an apex ('): R', L', F', B', U', D'. Two consecutive rotations (i.e. a 180 grade rotation, who's the same clockwise and anti-clockwise) are identified by a (²): R², L², F², B², U², D².
